I picked up a slab of redwood form Humbolt county big trees on the way home from my brothers funeral this past weekend. I have ordered the clock works and hands for it and plan on routing the recess and sanding the face this weekend. I want a real thick gloss finish (like 1/8' thick). What product would be best for this type of finish. I dont want yellowing over the years as I plan on keeping this clock in memory of my big brother.
I'll get pics of the progress and post the finish product when I am done.
Thanks in advance,
Mark

2 part pour on epoxy finish. System 3 is one brand name.

Ill look for the system3 product you mention. I was thinking a poly finish might be best to avoid yellowing over the years.
Bill was a good man and will be missed greatly...

Poly will yellow a lot more than the System 3 epoxy over the years.

I don't have a current catalog but as I recall Klockit sells a product like what you want -- probably can check on line
