At a special request, of a special person :D I'd like to show you a design I made for kitchen windows. It's made of opaque window film.

Cheers, Andrea

Andrea - did you just cut the centre section or do the whole thing with the fades?

The whole thing, but not in one piece. The bottom is 1350mm wide, so I rolled up the sides of the film, to fit my working table and just cut out the middle curve

What is type of film?

Oh is the sky and cloud the ACTUAL sky outside thru the window?
I thought you did the top part as well... was wondering how without it being a digital print - heh :)

Yes, Rodne it's the sky :D

Victor, it's a polyester film

Thanks Andrea, that's a pretty neat idea and practical too if you can still use the top of the window. Is that film like vinyl? What does it look like from the other side? Or do you apply it on both sides?

:) dee

Dee, it's only applied from the inside. From the outside it looks just white. It's a very thin film almost like transparent paper. It's usually used for i.e. doctors windows - I think I found a name for it "etched glass window film" *lol* and as I think about it, that's exactly what it looks like. The light still comes thru but you can't see thru

Andrea, you absolutely need vinyl cutter :) Put in your nearest investment plans :)

Victor, maybe in the near future ;) but as long as I'm only cutting polyester films, my Laser does a better job than any plotter

I did not even know polyester film was available. That definitely
opens some new ideas. Nice!

I like it, Andrea! A good way to selectively hide things out of view.
And it looks classy.
