Greetings All;
I havn't posted anything in awhile. I'll start the afternoon off with a White Oak hollow form that I completed some time ago. This one is about 8 X 5 including the collar which is from a purple plum tree. The Oak was very bland after it was turned so I ebonized it with Transtint Black and DNA. The finish is Waterlox original.

The picture was taken in my back yard to prove that we do get sunshine in Portland.

Enjoy,
Mike

Nice form. Color contrast is quite vivid. Unusual combination of woods, and it is creative. Great job!

Striking contrast!! Looks like you ended up with a very nice piece, and a great finish.

And, pretty sneaky Mike - waiting for the one day a year you guys don't have rain or clouds, take a pic, and try to make us believe it is like that often!!:D
