Does anyone have problem with tracking 1/8" blade. Need scrolling for ability for 3/4" to 1 1/2" pine. Cannot seem to keep it tracking and eventually it comes off and breaks. Also where would you recommend getting quality 1/8" blade.

Carter has a blade stabilizer designed for thinner blades. They are currently running a deal with up to 20% off depending on how much you spend. Free shipping is included.

I have a 12" craftsman and have been using 1/8" to cut 4" hardwood with no problems (but I did up the motor from 1/3HP to 1.5HP).

I did have problems with my craftsman's bs blades - love sear's quality but bs blades are not included! Purchased some 1/8" Timberwolf from Suffolk and they cut great and haven't broken.

I also have the Carter stabilizer which is great.

MY smaller saw does OK with 1/8" blades. There are things you don't want to do on a bandsaw that you might do on a scrollsaw; no backing up, no turns without forward motion and so forth. Ellis makes some nice blades but. there is a $50 minimum order. I run Timberwolf blades from Suffolk Machinery and have never broken one on any saw, large or small.

I use an 1/8" blade on my 14" bandsaw to cut bandsawn boxes. You can control an 1/8" blade with "cool blocks", but you will never control it very well with bearing guides. I have had the above mentioned Bandsaw Stabilizer from Carter for several years now, and its just the ticket for small blades. It allows you to make much tighter curve cuts than just the standard guides will allow, plus it makes a small 1/8" blade controllable. Its not cheap, I think I paid about $70 for mine, but I definitely recommend it.

James, thanks for info. I looked at the timberwolf Suffolk web. Saw the 1/8 blade but not in 70 1/2". Perhaps they will let me know if they have it -- also where did you get the carter stabilizer.
