I have a few lighthouses but they are all from Lake Superior. I need an East coast lighthouse (preferably New Jersey/New York) for a friend who lives out there. Something decent quality line art. Anyone have something?

Also have an older gentlemen asking for a C-124 clip art. Wants to engrave something to remind him of his AF days working on a Globemaster. Not much of an order for me but I know he would really appreciate it. Found some silhouettes and a couple cartoons but nothing very good.

Thanks in advance.

You could also ask Switcher and the others on the Zone under 'Share your Files Parts or Art' section.

I use Google Images a lot. Unfortunately, a lot of it is pretty low res. Didn't find anything usable.

Thanks anyway.

What does an 'East coast lighthouse' look like?

Frank

I can't describe them but the artist, Winslow Homer painted a lot of them.

Here is a link showing the different styles of lighthouses in North America. http://www.lighthousesrus.org/index.htm . Unless you are a light house fanatic like me they all look similar. But when I say that my wife (lighthouse fanatic) slaps me upside the head.

....as for the C-124 (it's a plane folks) I think it's going to be a little on the specialised for good quality line drawings. I have quite a lot of different clipart for planes, but I can't see this one in it, you might be better to take a picture from a google search and vector it.

It's amazing, the C124 was an Air Force plane but it is not mentioned anywhere in their art files. There are some good pictures on Google.

Thanks all, I appreciate the help. I'll work on the lighthouse. Frank, I'm not a 'lighthouse fanatic' but many East coast lighthouses are painted with stripes. None of the ones up here are that way.

As far as the C-124, I did see the photos but was hoping for some line art. I'll see if I can redo the pix to work. It's only for a one-off and I know the old gentleman won't want to spend much. I may just do a 'freebie setup' for him.

Thanks again.

I use Google Images a lot. Unfortunately, a lot of it is pretty low res. Didn't find anything usable.

Then you might try using Google plus TinEye. If you find an image you like
but the resolution is too low, right click and "Search Image On TinEye"
and it will do a web search for that image, and often call up higher res
versions. You need to download the TinEye plug-in first, though.

Ok Jeff this is the best I can do at such long notice.

How about this one? Its too big to upload, so look at the link. If you will use the new Google image search and click on Large, you can find jpgs that are big enough to enable you to size them down and res them up. This one is like 12" x 18" 96dpi but it's 6.1mb. It would probably engrave pretty well but I'm not sure if its what your looking for.
