I noticed last night my HTC-3000 mobile base is having an issue with one of the casters hitting the frame when it turns. I had this similar problem on the shopfox base, but had expected better quality from the HTC. Anyone else experience this problem? It looks like it hits at least 1/8-3/16" into the caster, whereas the other caster pivots normally and freely through 360 degrees of rotation.

Hopefully I can get hold of HTC to get a replacement corner/caster.

I have the GO634Z combination jointer/planer on the base, so around 600lbs, well within the rated capacity of the base

edit: bleh, meant htc 3000 for the title

Have you checked all the nuts and bolts......... I have 3 bases and all work great

yeah, but no clue what could cause this. It is hitting the arm that elbows out and up to support the caster.

I shot an email to htc today, so hopefully they can help me resolve it. Though the idea of moving the 600# tool from the base to replace 1 caster sounds like a pain in the butt.
