Wood species ID help....

I picked up a few boards of 'photo 1' at an estate sale, is fairly brittle, but not very heavy.

The wood in photo 2 is very dense, heavy and brittle, and I believe is ipe, if someone could affirm or correct me.

They both look like Ipe to me but if it isn't heavy not sure about that. Ipe is heavy. I built my front porch from it and even 1x4s are not alot of fun to move around.

Here are some photos of IPE from here in the Amazon. As was said it is hard and will out last your grandchildren . Here in Peru it is called Tauhari.
