Those are some serious trusses.
When will you be finished building?

Hello everyone:
The house I'm building is mine and it is made of 8 x 10 white pine timbers, local, from here in the U P of Mich. The corners are dovetailed and it has about 1750 Sq Ft. Three bed rooms, 1 & 3/4 baths , full basement , a 10 x 16 ft screened in porch , a masonry heater in the middle of the living room , Most of the trusses in the picture's will be exposed in an open ceiling. The trusses are made with 8 x 10 " & 8 x12 " pine timbers. 6 of them are 24' & 6 of them are 30' . We are hoping to be able to move in about 18 to 24 months from now.
Thanks for looking.
Chris

Beautiful!
I spent a lot of time in Houghton. BS and MS at Tech. I love that area.

Looks like it could be mighty drafty with the big gaps between the logs :p
Looks good, and the trusses will look great in the open ceiling. We recently remodeled our dining room and found the original 80 year old roof beams. We changed our plans and made a small cathedral ceiling to leave them exposed.
