The above saw was delivered today. To echoe what a few of you have stated in the past, the service, advice, etc. received from Jesse Barragan at Eagle Tools was exceptional. The saw was crated like it was going into a war zone - everything arrived intact. I still have to put on the blade and wire it, but if everything goes as well as it has so far, I don't expect any problems. If any of you are looking to purchase a bandsaw, I strongly urge you to contact Jesse.:D

Cool. I'm in the market for a bandsaw.

Pictures? Link? Price with shipping?

Eagle doesn't currently have much of a web site, it is under construction, but you can call Jesse at 800-203-0023 or 323-999-2909. They are located in Los Angeles. Jesse will e-mail you all the info along with prices and pics.

I kid Jesse all the time about his crappy website. They are working on it as we speak (type).

The web site has been under construction for months if not years. I think he's doing himself a dis-service by not getting the site up and running.

Happy Agazzani owner.

Agree, you have to WANT to buy an Agazzani and track down the info.

Richard, did you get a B-20 or the "new" B-20/20, I am trying to decide between the B-24 and the B-20/20.

I am leaning toward the B-24 "17". It is priced basically the same as the B-18 (so less than the B-20/20) has the 4.8hp motor and bigger wheels and throat depth. I can't find anything I want to resaw taller than about 15" so I can't see the need for 20" of resaw. I want to add Laguna guides and DM fence so that adds 600-700 to the price, so in the end it will probably come down to the B-24 or get the Laguna LT20 when they offer free shipping (or 10% off) and since it comes with the guides it would actually be cheaper. It is a tough choice but in the end I know I can't go wrong with any of the saws I am looking at, but there is something nice about having 24" wheels!

You'll get excellent service from Jesse.

As a side note. If you get the Agazzani and the Laguna guides please PM me, I'd like to know how the installation of the guides work out.

Yes!

You guys aren't mentioning any prices for these saws. I have a feeling that even their smallest one is out of my price range.

The lack of a good website is a real problem for them.

This are "rough" prices, you need to call Jesse to get a "final" price.

B-18 2,400
B-18/18 3,300
B-20 2,800
B-20/20 3,700
B-24 3,400
B-24/24 4,300

The ones without the second number are traditional bandsaws with "normal" resaw heights, the ones with the second number have more resaw (equal to wheel size) in the current "trend" toward lots of resaw height. Prices are more or less in line with MM and Laguna with some exceptions.

That's one nice big saw! Congrat's.

I'm curious, how would one go about resawing a 20" board? I mean, it should be one big hunk of board and must be really thick to be able to keep it dead vertical or else a little tilt in 20" will make a mess. But then pushing a thick 20" board into the 20" exposed blade is something I don't think I'll ever be comfortable doing....

This is my thought process behind thinking the B-24 is the "best buy" in the Agazzani range. I can't imagine resawing over 17" in my shop and the B-24 is a DriftMaster fence cheaper than the B-20/20. However, the B-20/20 and the B-24/24 have the advantage of being more heavy weight and the parrallel to me is a 250 or 2500 series pickup used to pull a 8,000 pound trailer, the 150/1500 will do the job but the heavier duty P/U will do it with ease. My guess is very few saws with 20" resaw height will ever actually resaw 20" unless the person saws a lot of green wood and/or they are a turner but the capacity means a lot about the build of the saw as well at least until the day Harbor Freight starts selling 20" resaw height band saws.
