From a thin piece of Maple burl I got from fellow Creeker Isaac Rapelje. 8" x 1.5". DO and Beall buffed.

Bob, that is some beautiful wood!! I got some from Isaac, as well, and it is some nice burl.

Nice platter/bowl!

very nice work. i hope to make other stuff like that. have the lathes for it. i a custom call maker from Tenino. will be going to the coast tomorrow to try and call some bear's in with my call's. i have a Jet mini i use for turning call's and a big Delta ironbed just sitting. and lot's of woods. i have some of Issacs other burl's. keep on doing what your doing. Lots going on in that piece of burl. Like the form combined with the wood it gives it an artifact appearance. Nice.
