finally got a second bowl made this one is Claro Walnut (thus the John Keeton tribute hehe )

not the world's best pictures as i have not yet gotten around to setting up a decent photo tent this bowl went to my Uncle Bob and Aunt Nancy for their 50th wedding anniversary
i cut the corners off the block of Claro before i started turning the bowl and have enough blanks for 12-15 pens
today i turned the first of those ......................

too bad this wood doesn't grow locally :(
how can something so nice to turn be so hard to lose the scratches on? :rolleyes:
