This is now the third of these babies that I've built. I'm getting it down - took two end pieces of lumber - 5x7 wenge and birdseye maple, 4/4, and resawed them to the needed 1/4" thicknesses. Picked up the wood Friday at 5 PM, had the project completed and waxed by Sunday noon. Only put in about 5 hours total. If I start to build these for money, I'm gonna BUY 1/4" stock in the future - too much of my time was spent just getting the wood to the right thickness even with my DeWalt planer.
