I can't take credit for this idea. I got it from a poster on the other wood forum. It was very easy to make. The pix say it all.
I prefer to sharpen topside - even chisels - lately. More control and wider use of the wheel. Easier to clean too.
The sides are 3/4" stock; the top is 1/2" (it needs to be thinner to clear the motor housing). You gotta mount the WS to a base to give the table something to stand on. I used leveling feet with threaded inserts underneath. This makes leveling the top with the wheel a breeze.
Not the prettiest; but for $5, canya beat it?
Enjoy.
