I figured a smart way to soak up knowledge around here was to sort each forum by the thread most viewed. read it and be a lot smarter. Until I came to this forum. 51,254 views of How do you kill maggots in the trash? (http://www.sawmillcreek.org/showthread.php?t=42646)...Come on you gotta have more interesting stuff than that, err 51,255 views...

....Delivering timely advice on the maggots-in-the-trash-can conundrum -- priceless.

I'm fairly certain that isn't what Keith had in mind but..... whatever.

I haven't opened up that thread, unless it's real old and I don't remember, but maybe a lot of us had the same problem with them???? At least there's only 16 replies. :D Glad there aren't 51k replies!!!!!! Jim.

I'm surprised that SawStop or Apple aren't the most viewed threads. Then again, those threads seem to self-destruct pretty early on.

Funny how maggots tend to find rotting flesh. Well, not really. But their parents are natures version of flesh sensing technology.

Its true about fish.I made a yellow jacket trap with soapy water in the bottom and a piece of fish hung above the water. In a weeks time I had a pint of maggots floating in the bottom and a real bad smell with only a few yellow jackets.

I guess if you find maggots in the trash, the best way to deal with them is to 'throw them out'!!! After all, they 'are' in the trash aren't they? Or were you saving them for something?
