Changed my mind

I was planning on making a tall open segment vase. But as I got up a few layers, I felt the wall thickness was too thin to support turning the top layers.

So, I added a solid ring and finished it off.

I do not know what it is. A basket, a bowl, a vase? Oh, well, I could not bring myself to toss it out, so I finished it anyway.

I changed the design, beefed up the wall thickness, and completed the tall vase afterward. I will try to get some pics of it.

Very neat pattern - looks like a designer waste basket, though I suspect the dimensions aren't large enough.
