I thought I'd share a quick plaque I created using materials I had at hand. The plaque itself isn't much but it uses a sheet material some of you may not know about - architectural resin panels. In this case, 1/2" thick natural reeds by 3-Form. It is PETG so doesn't laser well at all but might be useful in many other ways. It is also VERY pricey.

Other resin panel manufacturers are Veritas, Lumicor, and Chrysalis. Lumicor has some panels in acrylic but note that the inner embedded materials may not like to be cut with a laser.

I like the general layout, but the busy background makes it difficult to read (at least the angle shown).

It reads better in person but as a rush job they got what they paid for. Also, the 3-Form plastic takes center stage because of the depth of the material.

A bit of a fill may help to seperate the text a bit more from the background.
