I'm trying to attach the Wixey Planer Digital Readout to my Jet 16-32 drum Sander. At Wixey's website {http://www.wixey.com/planer/fit/index.html#ryobi}they show earlier versions withPerformax name with slight differences in the sander.

So far I've tried 3 different methods to attach it. In these pictures you'll see the truss I've set up to hold the reader. The only thing I can attach to indicate the height are the motor mounts. But the problem is the long 'arms' to the reader cause the arm to give a little instead of lifting the reader.

If you have this sander and have a method could you share it.

Thanks

Did you look at these photos? http://www.wixey.com/planer/fit/sdperformax01_01.html

That requires three large holes to be drilled for the bolts. One in the plastic and two in the metal U-frame.

Which is a good way to insure as much accuracy as you can get from a drum sander.
