plastic on airsoft guns

Can the plastic on an airsoft gun be lasered...I've done abs calculators and it worked fine.
Does anyone have any setting suggestions for lasering and color filling it?

I ran some sample CO2 engraving for another SMC member using many different settings. All I could achieve was depth with slight discoloration leaning towards brown. An Nd:YAG may give better results. Color filling will be required.

I agree that color filling will be required. In my experience, I applied masking tape over the area and lasered over it then sprayed it with Krylon Fusion before removing the tape.
