Little wood gloat...........Heres a few shots of some nice quilt. Lots of shimmer in the hot sun....:D

larry,just put 3 or 4 coats of poly on and leave it be, it's beautiful just the way it is. ed

What a beautiful piece of wood. I'd also like to know what kind of wood that is... Looks like bubinga, camphor, or mahogany. What ever it is, it's nice. The trouble I have with a piece like that is trying not to screw it up...

Incredible piece of wood. You did not give species or size. It would be a little heavy to hang as is, but should make something very special. You sure have a lot of viewers drooling.

Thanks guys, its pomelle sapelle. Its about 8 x 11 or so and about 1.75 thick. One of those woods that moves in the light so I took advantage of the hot sun, and tried to get a couple good pics. :D

Did you snag that from a luthier? Im seeing mostly bookmatched elec body blanks but some 1 piece too! Beautiful anything you make out of that!
