Yeah too bad the rest of you didn't get paired with Gary Nicholls in the pen exchange. Here I am, a near beginner, and this man sends me a beautiful casein Majestic JR fountain pen! And some private reserve ink! Chocolate by the way. And he sent my wife a polymer clay pen. She says thanks Gary. And she won't let me keep it. I know its kinda girly looking but hey, I like beauty too. And last but not least, a pen box that is lasered with the particulars of the contest. Hey, can I trade with Gary again next year?:D Thank you, Gary! David

Ha ha. Like your signs. Haven't taken the time to figure pics out. Besides the only camera close to me is my cell and it is scratched. David

I sent David his pens without taking a picture first. I was in a hurry and just spaced it. When David posted that he was not familiar with posting pics, I told him if he emailed me one I would post it for him. Here it is and I will put it on the picture thread also. Jr. Majestic closed end Casein fountain pen with a Heritence flex nib, with black acrylic bands for contrast. The slim is for Davids wife and is polymer clay.

You know, looking at pictures like Gary's is a lot like looking at Fine Woodworking magazine. It's fascinating, but at the same time it rubs my nose in my own inadequacies!! Absolutely beautiful......and unobtainable with my skill set.

It is a girly pen David and we now see Gary admits its not for you. You will have to make peace with that knowledge (or steal it when she sleeps). Love the casein in particular. Well done!

Thank you all for the kind comments. Keith, don't sell yourself short, A surgeon should have no problems mastering pen turning, just have to get used to carving on a different media.:D
