Best "budget" router lift? (PC 7539)

I'm looking to add a router extension wing on my table saw. I'd love a router lift to go with it, but most of my current "toy" money is going to be tied up in getting the extension.

Is there such a thing as a "budget" router lift?

EDIT: The router I would use is my PC 7539.

Depends on the make and model of router and your desired use. If the router is a plunge, I see folks use the 'router raizer' which is under $100 IIRC.

The best "budget" router lift is that many routers can be operated (lifted) without anything added. For example, I have a PC 890 router in my table and just use the standard "fixed" base. I can operate it from the top of my table, or just reach under and do the adjustments.

I've operated that way for years and never felt I was missing anything. And, yes, I've used very expensive router lifts at friends' shops.

This would be for my monster PC 7539 plunge. I do have a Mil 1.5 horse fixed/plunge as well. But for obvious reasons would rather use the porter cable in the table. though I do hear it is not an ideal table router.

I used a Router Raizer kit on my PC for several years before getting a lift. It worked fine (still does).

JessEm is clearing out the "imported" version of their Mast-R-Lift for 165.00. Probably wont get any cheaper for a true lift. Its made for the 7518, but I believe the 7539 is the same thing but with a plunge setup instead. If you dont intend on using it hand-held you can always try to sell the plunge base to make some $$$ back.

Looks like the router raizer is the way to go for "budget". Particularly with the 20% off coupon that rockler has going this month.

I have the smaller version of the Jessem router lift FX that is sold by Rockler. It works really well.

My bad!

I actually saw a pic of the 7539, and just "assumed" (you know what happens when you do that!!) that the motor popped out like my DeWalt 618, then just use the motor in a lift.

Grizzly has router raizers listed for $47.25 but they have grizzly model #s instead of router raizer model #s. You'd have to be sure to get the correct model. That'd be the cheapest game in town and they work well. I have one on a Freud FT2000E
