I am doing a remodel job for a local charity that works with distressed residences. I need to find a resource for a small set of kitchen base and upper cabinets... only 8 feet to the right and 6 feet to the left of the corner, and that's it. I've called the local BORG and clones, checked craigslist and some local cabinet resale/installer shops... to no avail.

Does anyone have any advice or experience on locating some cabinets at little or no cost? I also need a bathroom vanity the job.

If you are near a big city, try a Habitat for Humanity store. Often you can get nicely recycled cabinets or new cabinets for a great price.

AKA "ReStore", at least that's what they call them around here... you can get items for litterally pennies on the dollar!

Do you have one of those builder surplus stores around you? Maybe try them too...

+1 on the Habitat Restore. Good prices plus your money goes to a good cause.

Do you have an Ikea store near you?
