I have begun to make walking sticks for friends who need the support. Does anyone know who makes various style heads for walking canes. I would like to give them a little class since my woodworking skills ain't what some of yours are.

Ed, here's an idea for a walking stick head. My father in law made one with an old hame ball on the end. He used an old one he found in an antique store but I found a source for inexpensive ones here (http://www.proleptic.net/tools_search.asp?category=4)
Here's another source (http://www.horsedriver.com/cart/hames.html)

The one my father in law used looks like N in the photo.
Disclaimer: I've never dealt with either of these places. I only dredged them up through a google search.

There are a couple of brass ones here for about $5 each.
