When you wake up in the morning is it usually within a few minutes of the same time every day?

I find that I'm on a pretty strict schedule. 2 or 3 minutes one way or the other.

Pretty much as long as I go to bed at a reasonable time, and even if not, still close.

Yep. Hardley even need an alarm clock anymore.

Yep. Even when I need to get up earlier than usual, I'm up..... Often a few minutes before the alarm when I set it.

Yep, between 3 and 3:30 a m. Of course, my eyes start slamming shut between 7 and 7:30 p m like clock work. Same as Mitch, no clock needed, tell me when to be up and I will.

I sometimes wake up on the same day that I went to bed and sometimes on the next day. It's within plus or minus one day.

Like Charlie, I will wake up about 3 AM. Make coffee and visit SMC. I do stay up an hour later than Charlie. I'm a real nite-owl.:o

I can sleep until 5:30 as that is when the Parrots and McCaws start screaming and the dog is jumping on my head looking out the window barking at the birds. Hang over or not they have no mercy.

My daughter is up every morning with the sun. Therefore, we are too.

Being retired from a long time swing shift job, I get up when I feel like it. My wife sleeps even later.

I wake up eight hours after falling asleep.

And then I need a 20-30 minute power nap about eight hours later.

Lots of people do that. I thought it was only me but some of my friends do this as well. We thought it was something weird but its normal. Your body triggers some kind of chemical so many hours after you fall asleep. Sometimes its enough you wake you. I usually go right back to sleep though.

Yep, and I can usually set my own internal alarm clock too. Like if I'm at work and I'm very tired I will sleep through lunch and just tell myself to wake up in an hour. It works pretty good and I can usually wake up within a few minutes of my target time. Don't know how or why it works but it does, for the most part!

I'm fortunate that I get to work from home. I almost never set an alarm. I'm usually in bed around midnight and wake up regularly at 8. Generally, I will wake up almost exactly 8 hours after going to sleep.

3:00AM???

I don't even get up then to use the bathroom!

(Good grief! Even if I had to go, I think I would prefer to wet the bed...)

I'm up before the chickens, damn it! Retired 7 years and STILL can't sleep past 4:00 AM.
I can take a nice afternoon nap and still fall asleep between 7:30 and 8:00PM.
It's a bummer.

5 hours a day if I need it or not.

Living on a night schedule in a day shift world has a few drawbacks.

I don't need no alarm clocks. I got my bladder.

Not even close.

- When I cycle in the morning (about 2-3 times a week), up at 4:15
- When I don't cycle in the morning (remaining weekdays), up at ~5:45
- Weekends, up by noon (without fail :) )
