Hello all has anyone tried Cermark on Tri-Chrome a customer brought in a Knife and Server Set. Just wonder if it will work.

Thats what the box says just wondering if it is just chrome they are pretty heavy.

Maybe they mean triple chrome plate (which itself is an ambiguous term)? A good quality chrome marks just fine, but cheap chrome plating doesn't hold up to any abuse (and for the real cheap stuff "abuse" can mean a toothbrush).

Triple plating was the way of making a first class chrome plated object way back when. As I recall it was pickel then plate with copper, nickel then chrome then buff.

Yeah, but there's no set standard for what triple plate means, so you could be getting anything.

Ok tried and Cermark does on work on the Tri-Chrome. I thought I had the setting wrong but double checked and the setting were correct. I have done a pair of cake knife and the server. But on the box this was Stainless Steel and it worked not sure what this Tri-Chrome is but it is pretty hard material. I did 100 power and 25 Speed.
