My nephews are in town and I've been making souvenirs for them.
I got this idea last night when I was half asleep.
Got up this morning and headed straight to the shop.

I just hope they[the nephews, Kids doing what kids sometimes do] don't actually try to screw them into a lamp or other light socket, because that wouldn't be a pretty thing :eek::eek::eek:

otherwise, what a neat turning!

If you had about 20 of those you could make a pretty nifty decorative chandelier Mike! Pretty cool idea, and nice walnut. But it does need to come with a warning label that says DO NOT USE!!!

I am stealing that! That is so random and cool! Way to think outside the box.

Thats a great idea. Did you break a light to get the threaded portion or buy it separately?

Hey, you've got to think 'Green' -- how about a compact fluorescent? That would be a challenge!! Nice piece. Just make sure you insulate the bottom conductor in case someone tries to screw it in a fisture!
