I am making a small display box (15"x11") with a hinged lid that will have glass in it. My question is what is the best way to design the lid so that the glass can be replaced if needed. Here is a photo of something similar to what i what. I would appreciate any help with drawings. thanks guys.

Here's a post showing one way. http://www.sawmillcreek.org/showpost.php?p=1450441&postcount=3

In that post I mention cutting the rabbets with a slotting cutter because the OP was talking about a door that had already been glued up. However, if you're building the lid from scratch, and you make the frame with mitered corners, you can make the rabbets with the table saw.

I like to use #4 screws. McFeeleys sells square-drive ones, and you can get them in several different finishes, the better to match the wood or the other hardware.
