I am in the process of trying to come up with a saw vise design. I just can't seem to come across a decent used old Disston or something similar and decided a shop-made wooden vise would work for my needs. A thread started earlier gave me the idea to ask about pictures of your saw vise in order to grab a few ideas with what works and what doesn't. I would love to see what others have created for vises to sharpen their saws with and wouldn't mind seeing some old Disston's or similar factory vises.

I am a little confused on what you are looking for.

By using the search function and a few minutes of investigation, these were found among the many others that have been posted in the past.

That should get you started if you are thinking of making your own saw vice.

My first one was just a couple pieces of wood that would hold the saw plate in one of my bench vises.

My second one came from ebay and works, but is a piece of junk compared to the one found laying on the floor of an antique shop that set me back less than $20.

Here's one I made.

Here's one with a slight improvement over mine.

The rear support brackets on Larry's vise provide a little more support to keep the uprights from flexing. I think it's a good addition, as I do get a little flex in mine when filing larger saw teeth. Another worthwhile addition would be to line the jaws with a thinn leather to lessen any vibration.

Tom Lie-Nielsen shows a dead-simple saw vise that mounts in the bench vise about 3 and half minutes into this video on sharpening a ripsaw:

He continues using it for crosscut sharpening in part 2:

Small, portable, and easily made.
