Replacement blades for Sargent Jointer

I've been looking around today to find a replacement blade for a Sargent Jointer. Not a lot of luck. Do the irons correspond with the same size Stanley for example? Or is this not worth my time?

Some of the blades are interchangeable. How wide is your old Sargent blade?

Stanley jointers/joiners were 2-3/8" for the #7 and 2-5/8" for the #8. Some of the transitional models had different sizes.

What you can find depends on how much you want to spend.

Do you need to replace the chip breaker and the blade or just the blade?
