The blanks showed up last night--I ordered these three weeks ago.
They are Bethleham Holy Land Olive wood
I had planned on showing off 5 pens-- but a neighbor stopped by and these are the three that are left.
I am glad a bought a big lot of these blanks---this is some of the best wood for pens that I have ever seen.
It is real nice to turn and smells great.

Hi, Gary,

I, too, recently bought some Bethlehem Olive, but I've made just one pen so far. Like yours, it was very nice, and easy to work with. The fragrance of green olives just enhances the turning experience.

I bought boards in order to cut my own blanks. The shipment was held up because of logistical problems in Israel caused by Arafat's death. I think normally the shipping would be quicker. The wood is worth waiting for, regardless.

Jack ---they are selling a bunch on ebay--crafts--wood--turining--pen planks
Jack if you want to PM me I will get their web site info for you.

John--I had just got started turning bowls when the mailman showed up with these blanks. I really did not think they would show up that fast. I am going to make up a dozen that I want sell and then it's back to bowls. I am making several for Christmas gifts and need to get busy before it's the last minute. The good part is the weather
here has been very warm---69 degrees today. Makes it real nice when you ain't working with frozen tools.
