I recognized the driver and he recognized me. It was “Big Money”. I nicknamed him that because he and his rig have been to my house several times and every time he shows up it costs me Big Money. This trip though, was a freebie!

Courtesy of the good folks at Felder it came well packed and padded, with lift gate delivery and lots of Fra-gee-lay signs to protect it from marauding fork lifts.

After some assembly...

My major award settled into its new home.

Except for the big lathe, everything in my shop (2 car garage ) is on wheels and gets moved around or moved out into the driveway, depending on what's going on and which piece of gear is needed. The bench will be no exception. I need to figure out a way to put some great lakes casters on it.

The bench bolts together solid as a rock with typical Felder quality throughout. With two smooth working and sturdy vises, rectangular dogs, a drawer, a nice tool tray and a fresh coat of Renaissance Wax on top, I don’t think I’ll be using it to do small engine repair on.

Many thanks to Felder for their most generous support and to Keith and the SawmillCreek Crew for arranging a great give away. It's nice to have a Felder in the house :) :) :)

Um.

Wow.

I'm constantly torn between buying one and building one.

I'm absolutely positive, though, that I could build one that's ... nowhere near as nice as that :D

I saw the first pic and I had no idea what felder product you bought because I didn't know they sold work benches...

That's a nice bench.

It would almost be too nice for me in a sense that I would baby it and try to keep it in mint condtion. :D

You've also got a nice lathe, and a nice j/P.
