This is a piece of cherry that blew down at a local park. A friend and I loaded up several logs and this is the result of 1 of the smaller ones.
NE bowl, 5 1/4" wide and 3" tall. The grain has some crazing that I couldn't get on the pictures. Critiques?

Nice bowl. Will be interesting to watch it as it darkens over time.

I like it! If you can get cherry and not have cracks, you're a better man than I. Looks nice... :D

Nice job keeping the bark on. I'm looking forward to seeing what else you get out of that cherry score.

Congrats on the cherry, Josh, and nice work!! And, you are lucky keeping the bark on one cut this time of year. Excellent!

Very nice. Must be fresh cut it's so light in color. Does it still need to be dried?

Really nice bowl. Will also be interested if it darkens over time.

It is fresh cut (or fallen). I suspect it will deform some and I hope it won't crack since the thickness is fairly uniform.

It's looking good Josh, I was somewhat surprised at how light the color is. but it will darken with age.
