I have been looking for an OSS. I had more or less decided on the Rigid benchtop one from BORG, but I have an opportunity to get this one (http://www.steelcitytoolworks.com/products_tools.cfm?section=2&category=10&tool=55200) from Steel City for about half price.
The downsides to the Steel City version for me would be:
Takes up more of my limited shop space
More expensive
What benefits will I get from the larger Steel City unit over the Rigid OSS?

Spindle Lengths 5”, 6”, 9”
That will come in handy some day,
The footprint is small, and if you can make it mobile you'll find the space.

The Ridgid on has served me well so far. And I do like the fact that you can switch out to a belt sander. That option comes in handy.
But, I can see where the longer spindles would be a great plus. Just depends on what your overall uses will be. I like having mine on a bench and not taking up floor space.

The larger spindle lengths and the large cast iron table would be great. I am trying to sell my Ridgid so I can get a full size one. I have needed longer spindles in the past. I plan to put it on wheels so I can move it out of the way easier. If I had your deal I would jump on the Steel City.

Make a mobile base for it. I've never regretted moving from a benchtop to a floor model in any tool.
