I made these for Mother's Day, one for my wife and one for my grandmother. The one is Maple (was supposed to be spalted) and the other I don't remember

Nicely done, Dave. I'd love to know what that first wood is... It's really nice.

Nice job. I made my first Potpourri pot last week. I took a differest approach making it a different shape than yours and others I have seen posted here. Where did you get those lids? I really like them. The ones I used were pale in comparison.

Seems a waste to put stinky dead flowers in such beautiful work. Nice and I to like your lids. They look rich.

Lids are actually candle toppers. I waited a little too late to get them so I didn't have time to order them so I went to the candle store and got these. I probably over paid, but I did like them. They are pretty heavy too. I imagine you can get them anywhere they sell those candles in glass jars. Yankee Candle Co.

It might be Cocobolo but it seems darker. I've really got to start writing this stuff down.

Yeah bocote is the other possibility. Almost positive it's one of those two....

In fact I think it is bocote.
