View Full Version : Some sort of Stop system for my FMT

I just finished don 60 mortises on my FMT.

I think most of the time was spent moving my stop blocks around. If I had something that would let me have multiple stops and just flip them out of the way when not in use I could have knocked 50% of the time off this particular task.

Does anyone know of anything available out there that would work?

Hi,
When you have solved the problem I want to know :)
I think it would a great idea but never thought of multiple stops before - use 1 at a time.
Would need some sort of rail with 'kreg' type flip stops. You got me thinking. Only problem is availability of that type of hardware in the 3rd world.
Got a whole lot of stuff to do in the pipeline and that will give me an opportunity to play with ideas.
Thanks for the thought.
Phil

Very soon I plan to post pictures of how I solved the clamping system problem I have with my Leigh FMT and also the micro adj system I added to my Mlcs heavy weight router table. I have complained to the MFG of these tools for awhile with no help. As soon as I can get back in the shop next week I plan to do a review of these two tools.
