This 1966 W/M saw has taken me a while to restore. About a month later, it's ready to replace my newer model.

I sand blasted each part, primed it all with Rustoleum sandable primer, and top coated with Rustoleum Ford engine grey. It's a very close match to the original color. Still trying to hunt down some cover knobs, and an upper guide adjuster knob.

I give up. What does the second belt and pulley do? BTW, looks good!

The upper pulley has a shift knob in the middle that you push in to shift gearing to slow speed. That is used for cutting metal.
Pull it back out, put a wood blade on it, and cut wood in high speed.

NICE job Myk! Down South that's what they call, "Making a Silk Purse out of a Sow's Ear!

Where's that belt guard??

Where's that belt guard??
Wish I knew. I might make one if I can't find one.

Very nice Myk, very nice! I saw one of these on CL recently but without the stand. I like your mobility solution.

Can I ask some dumb questions? Is that a riser block, or is it a standard part of that saw? Looks like you have 12" or so of resaw. If all that is true, how does it work in resawing? I know these saws have lower hp motors than what new saws have, so I am curious if they handle resawing okay, just slower, or are best suited for other work.

Hi Dan;

Just got back from Mackinac Island and saw your post.
These 14" Deltas resaw very well up to the 12" riser height. This saw has a 1/2hp motor, and my 2002 model has 1hp. I have a 2hp motor that I might put on this one. That'll make it kick some sawdust resawing.
The riser kits are an ad-on item from Delta. About $120, and come with the block, longer guide bar, blade guard, and upper blade guard.
