I am making a welcome sign and need a picture of a squirrel, have found several pics but I hate to say they look a bit ill. I have come to realize that my idea of quality artwork and other peoples is quite different, maybe I am to picky but I take pride in the quality of my work and have a hard time finding artwork that meets my standards. If anyone could help I would appreciate it. All of the artwork I have seen on the creek so far has met my standards so here I am one more time needing help.

Cindy I have sent you a Private Message regarding this one attached. If you are interested, this is done using a wacom tablet but can be resized to whatever you want.

Thanks to all. You have given me exactly what I needed once again. Frank that is so cool I will have to look into that software. I learn so much from SMC I couldn't imagine having to do without it.

Frank, I havent used a wacom tablet or anythng like it so I just have a bunch of "beginner questions" Ive thought about getting one to play with it and further my experience so here are my questions, what is the system you use? can you give a quick summary of how you convert the picture to the image you posted? do you know of any tutorials or videos on the web on how to do it?

LOL - they don't have nails on their thumbs, they are just stubby little outcrops. I don't know about the States, but in the UK the grey squirrel is considered to be classed as vermin (nicknamed the tree rat), mainly because they decimated our natural red squirrels. The reds are really quite red in colour and have whispy tufts on the tops of their ears. Over a few years I hand reared two grey squirrels, both brought to me by kids who 'found' them. I looked after them until they were big enough to venture out and over a period of three months released them into the wild again. Very rewarding and lots of fun.

Jeremy the two files I posted were done with different processes, the quickest is using Akvis (zipped) which takes about 30 seconds if the picture is good, the other has to be drawn with a wacom tablet and took an hour.

Frank,

you're telling me your drew that using a wacom? Thats amazing skill! Which one you got? Intuous 3? 4?

I cant get my head around the tablet thing, I've got one, but just cant get used to it. Prefer my mouse, but i think thats just habbit.
