I can't believe how gorgeous this apple wood is and how blessed I was to have been able to get the whole tree. Each piece I make from it is more stunning then the previous. My turning skills don't do the wood justice, Maybe John needs some of this wood to really show it off for us :-)

:eek::eek::eek:Jonathan, the bowl is gorgeous. The form is absolutely just right. I am amazingly jealous of your wood score! If you ever want to trade just about anything for it, I'm your man.

BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!

The simple form lets that apple wood sing. Just great.

p.s., I'm jealous. Apple is a favorite of mine.

I have always wanted to make a set of bowls out of some wood like apple, pear, peach, etc... Kind of like a fruit bowl collection.

But none the less that wood is just awesome, as is the bowl.

WOW!!! That is one incredible looking bowl, Jonathan!! Just fantastic form, and the wood is equally fantastic. You did it justice, my friend, as well as anyone could!

Beautiful. I love the thickness of the bowl and the simple form. That is where I want my turning to be.

What Kenny said. Gorgeous wood and the simplicity of the bowl lets it shine. I for one know how not easy it is to pull off those "simple" shapes.

You are right-that's amazing wood. You are doing it justice--don't send it to John--he has enough:D Instead, PM me for my address:D

Great looking bowl. There's no need to send that wood anywhere... You've made a beautiful bowl from some amazing wood.

Jonathan, I would be happy to send you a PayPal payment for the small flat rate box full of your scrape from that tree.;):D And if the scrap turned out to be large enough for pen blanks that would be awesome just like your bowl:)

Gorgeous piece of wood is an understatement! Anything more than a simple bowl would just be a distraction! Well done!

I have seen some very nice Apple wood, but never with these awesome colors in it, plus all that figure, just extra ordinary, and the bowl is very nice as well Jonathan, never seen anything like it, WOW
