Pair of corner Fireplace mantels

Here is a pair of corner fireplace mantels that I am working on for a friend. They are for some ventless gas fireboxes that he has. The first one is for the livingroom and just needs the tile grouted to be done. The second one is for the bedroom and is much smaller. It is just stained but no finish yet. It also has a base like the large one. I will be glad to get these out of the shop and get on to some turning for Christmas presents.

Those are really beautiful Sparky. I bet they do take up some room, but your friend will love them.

Thanks Dick & Lou. I used one of the $5 woodcraft router bits to cut the flutes and it worked great. I hope install goes smooth Tomorrow night. Dick, I'm going to be down in your neighborhood next week. I'm picking up a 12" jointer from a guy just this side of Knoxville. It needs some work being from the 20's but is in great shape. Will post pic's when I get it.
