I just made a planer cart for my Delta 13" planer. The stock in/outfeed tables are set slightly high to prevent sniple, but I'm wondering how I should adjust them now with the wings on the cart. I have two main questions:

1. Should I set the stock tables level with the actual planer bed?
2. Should I angle the cart's tables slightly up? Or does the added length reduce or eliminate the need for that to reduce snipe?

If I need to angle them upward; how much? They are ~15" long resulting in in/outfeed tables that are ~2' total (in combination with the stock ones).

thanks

Angle them up so that you could slide a penny underneath the middle.

I would leave your stock tables still adjusted to prevent snipe. Your extensions could follow that plane or level off. JMHO as a snipe free guy.
