Hi folks, my intent with this thread is to collect up in one place links to info and other threads on dust hoods and shrouds. Please post links or info in this thread about dust hoods, hoping to make this a great single source thread for folks to find ways to modify their machines or info about particular machines dust shrouds. There are a zillion threads on dust collection piping, but the most important element of dust collection is getting the dust at it's source--and that means dust hoods.

Our machines come from the builders with generally poor dust hoods, which force a high airflow (cubic feet/minute or CFM) to move enough area around the cutting blade to collect the fine dust most harmful to health. A few machines are now coming with decent dust shrouds/hoods built into them. Most older machines require us to build our own.
