I just received my new LV skew block plane and, honestly, the quality and build are just out standing. Every time they release a new plane, tool... the quality and functionality is better than the last. Where's it all going to end.

I just received my new LV skew block plane and, honestly, the quality and build are just out standing. Every time they release a new plane, tool... the quality and functionality is better than the last. Where's it all going to end.

It is wonderful living and working wood at a time when there are two good sized companies in North America making some great tools available to the average wood worker. That is not to demean the smaller companies also making high quality tools.

Where will it end? Maybe they will run out of ideas and make a 52 inch joiner with a 4 inch blade.

I will say that I did do one small modification to the blade as can be seen in the pic. In keeping with most planes that need a high level of side accuracy.
