So out of need rather than want, I finally bought my first real plane. Not that I don't want planes, but if I could only have one to start with it'd be nice to have a 4 1/2 or 5 instead of the 40 1/2 i bought today. But that is what the project required and I must say, a good time was had by all. Flattening the top to the island I am working on was quite an enjoyable task to take on by hand. Between the new LN and my junker #4 that is as well tuned as i can get it, i've got a nice top going. This neander thing could spread, look out.
