A couple of pieces made from texas ebony that i brought back from a
campground in Edinburg tx in the lower valley. As you can see the bugs
like this wood as well as mesquite. Although wormy very pretty wood.
The campground oweners were clearing out the trees and were cutting
this one down. I got all i could get into my truck as i was pulling a 5th
wheel rv. Byron

Pretty stuff and nice looking turnings. I wish the photos were a bit larger so I could see a little more detail.

What did you use to finish it? Texas ebony has given me fits a time or two with pens and bottle stoppers.

Byron, what are the dimensions of these pieces?

Thanks for the comments. I used antique oil and the bowl is 7" dia. The vase
is 9"x4". This wood is so dense and hard that it buffs real well.

Wouldn't have about a 12" cube you would like to sell? I don't mind the buggy wood. Thanks,,,,,,,,,David
