Sargent 414 frog question

I've got a 414 that I got some time ago and I'm tuning it up. It has a frog from a 409 in it. Does anyone know if the 414 and 409 used the same frog or do I need to get the correct one?

I think it is kind of like the Stanley #4 and #5 frogs being the same thing. I think with Sargent, 409 was on the lever caps even on the 414.

Maybe someone who knows more about the Sargent system will jump in.

I have a 409 and a 414 and the lever caps are only marked with "Sargent". The only indication to the size of the planes are the bottom of the frogs and the blades.

You have the correct frog. All of the 2" frogs are marked 409.

Thanks for the info. I was having an issue with the plane and thought the frog might be the problem. As usual, it was just me.
