I came upon a small score of wood and thought I'd share a little with anyone local. It comes from Canada as chocks on palletized equiptment. It's all about 36" long by about 4"x4". It looks and feels like a hardwood but I cannot find out what it is. It looks like Red Alder and Red Gum. It cuts and machines well. It might make some good turning stock as well. I can't part with alot of it but you're welcome to come take a look at it and grab some as well.
I have a stack about 4 foot tall and wide and would let about a third go. I am wanting to use it for a top on my dad's new work bench.
