A little quilt rack, with a Windsor style. Five different woods went into this thing, mainly because they were what I had on hand. A bit of white Oak (pallet wood), some poplar ( slats from the same pallet) some pine, a little birch (dowels) and a bit of Ash( one slat) If I can get a few pictures to post:

Steve - Great use of a pallet. I've made a couple of planters out of some in he past. It's amazing what kind of wood you can find if you look through them.

I like the whole deisign. Did you buy the legs or turn them?

I bought two dowels for this quilt rack, and two finials. The posts were turned on my lathe. The top rails were bandsawn to shape. The spindles were also bandsawn, to a rough shape, and then a spokeshave and a handplane finished the spindles. Each spindle was shaved to a knife edge along the edges. A shaker peg (2) serves as a finial for the turned posts. Spindles were wedged inplace in the top rails. A few other looks at this compilation:
