A fun small project that I first saw Allen do is the Biscuit Cutters. I see in the picture that I left a couple of tool marks. I hate doing that. According to my wife it's not going anywhere so it will be ok. Made from a small piece of Mesquite. It has a layer of Mylands on it but nothing else at this time.

That looks great. I made one a while back, and it works great.

Dennis, very nice work on this one, and I really like the mesquite! Sounds like you got the spousal vote quickly, too, and that means a lot.

Cool, I have been thinking about doing one of these for my wife. Looks like it would be a good project to get me back into the spin of things. Great work.

Hey Dennis! You did well! And you're welcome. Women love these cutters... even if they don't use them as intended. :D
An amusing story: At a sale, I set several of these in front of a sign, "Biscuit Cutters". A man walked up, with his wife, daughter, and grandkids. He picked up one of them, rolled it around in his hand, examining it very closely. Then he turned to his wife, everyone looking on, and said, "Can you tell me how in the world you can open a can with this?" Everyone broke up, laughing, and his wife slapped him.

Very nice. Is there a reason for the holes? I'm assuming it makes it easier to release the dough.

Exactly, Dave. Without the holes, the dough is hard to get out of the cutter cavity. :)

Now I have to try one. My list just keeps getting longer. Great timeing though, my son just ordered a Dutch Oven and I smell bisuits. That is great! How about a donut cutter? Just a little more of a challenge to it.

An add to my todo list.
