....find the mechanism that drives this thingy? I have a few people that would like me to build one for them, but I have no idea where to find the mechanical portion of it. Anyone? Drat. I thought that a .gif file would animate. I guess not. When a person hits the switch (such as the person in the picture is about to do) a little push rod type of thing pushes up on the door opposite the switch and clicks the switch back off. I'm looking for the mechanism...where I might purchase it.

Looks to me like the mechanism is hand made but I found instructions:

Doesn't look too difficult and includes a parts list.

I need one for the light switch in my boys' room, never have to worry about lights always on.

Man am I glad I didn't have a mouthful of coffee watching that video. I need several of those boxes myself. Have to upgrade them to close cabinet doors and put caps back on toothpaste tubes as well. :D

Here are plans for a little more sophisticated version. Kinda pricey. I'm building the Number 6 clock from this same site.

That's pretty funny! I think after the 3rd time, the little arm should pop the user's hand like a teacher with a ruler though :D
