Hi,
I wonder if anybody had good experience with Grizzly hard maple 2 1/4 thick bench top for woodworking bench.

Thanks,
Boris

I have no experience with their product specifically, but 2 1/4" could be plenty thick, especially if you add maybe 5" tall x 2" thick skirts to each side of it.

Being grizzly, I would be confident it is well made and solid.

I got one.
They're dandy.

I made my bench with a premade hard maple top I bought from McMaster Carr. As Alex said, I added a skirt around all sides as well. It took a little work to flatten it, but other than that it's been a-ok for me. The bottom sides aren't exactly show quality, but it's the bottom of a benchtop.;)
I can't seem to find the finished pics, but here's the old thead showing some of the progress of the build.
